For once you don't understand,
I thought you always would,
Now it is evident to me,
that I overestimated you.
You aren't like me after all,
You're different.
Maybe its for the better
I wish you'd forgive me for burdening you so,
I regret telling you,
I regret causing you pain,
When you already were in so much pain.
As a best friend, I was supposed to support you,
I was supposed to make you happy,
Yet I didn't,
And I am so sorry

Dreamless
It overtakes us,
Like nothing ever does,
Eyelids shut,
Lashes flutter downwards
Only to reach to a close,
a peaceful close like none other.
Feeling of letting go conquers,
And leads to a dreamless sleep.
Like nothing ever does,
Eyelids shut,
Lashes flutter downwards
Only to reach to a close,
a peaceful close like none other.
Feeling of letting go conquers,
And leads to a dreamless sleep.

Candles
The day comes when lights decorate the sky,
A cake; circular, chocolate
White flames burn bright,
Burn to blind
Yet they bring joy,
A form of celebration
To welcome a new age,
A day full of happiness
However, those blue flames,
They are blown out each year
A cake; circular, chocolate
White flames burn bright,
Burn to blind
Yet they bring joy,
A form of celebration
To welcome a new age,
A day full of happiness
However, those blue flames,
They are blown out each year

Never knew love
I never knew love,
It never hit me.
All she knew was pain,
Love never touched her as it did the others.
No one to hold her close,
No one to call her other.
I never knew that feeling,
That feeling of belonging.
Those nights alone,
Were evident of that.
It never hit me.
All she knew was pain,
Love never touched her as it did the others.
No one to hold her close,
No one to call her other.
I never knew that feeling,
That feeling of belonging.
Those nights alone,
Were evident of that.
Feathers
Feathers brighten the sky,
Creating an everlasting effect.
Before they crash and burn,
All because of a simple puff.
Floating down to their doom,
Only to land on harsh reality,
Which slashes through completely,
Destroying those once beautiful feathers.
Birds release those bright lights,
Which are fragile
And can be shut off so easily,
Shut off so that they never burn bright again.
Too soon the end arrives
For the feathers,
Too soon their light fades,
Too soon it all ends.
Creating an everlasting effect.
Before they crash and burn,
All because of a simple puff.
Floating down to their doom,
Only to land on harsh reality,
Which slashes through completely,
Destroying those once beautiful feathers.
Birds release those bright lights,
Which are fragile
And can be shut off so easily,
Shut off so that they never burn bright again.
Too soon the end arrives
For the feathers,
Too soon their light fades,
Too soon it all ends.

Nothing ever means anything
A drip of water,
Lands on a page.
Disaster looms,
Betrayed.
All those words thrown aside,
Forgotten.
Memories mean nothing.
Friendship discarded.
Lands on a page.
Disaster looms,
Betrayed.
All those words thrown aside,
Forgotten.
Memories mean nothing.
Friendship discarded.
Captured
All goes black,
Walls appear around me,
Tiny bursts of light penetrate through
Too late
Clawed and stretched,
looking for escape,
Failure,
A deep breath
Then surrender
