Colours of Love

We walk on the beach
Vision stretching over the horizon.
The never-ending sheet of blue,
licks our feet.

The usually azure sky,
Now glowing pink,
As the red ball sinks beneath the waves.
Orange light encloses us.

The burning sand cools,
Seashells circle us,
Dolphins swim in the distance,
Their bodies glowing with colour.

Birds fly off,
Crabs hide beneath rocks.
Icy wind bites our skin,
I wrap the shades of warmth around me.

Hand in hand,
we turn and leave the beauty behind.
