Heightened Ecstasy

The night sky lit up with a shower of scarlet, yellow and green rain banging into the stars. Below, a mass of people stood with their cameras put, ready to capture memories of the new year. Looking out at sea, the largest jet of water could be seen, shooting up with the same ecstasy as the fireworks. The dark waves thundered around the piercing fountain, heightening its roar.
